Instructions: Summer Makeup

While our biggest concern in July is typically staying cool and dry (and for those in humid climates - avoiding mosquitos), we must not forget about keeping our faces looking flawless to make our style full circle. Below is a step-by-step guide to my full proof summer makeup strategy. Follow along and you too can have a summer glow (the kind we like!) from your cosmetics, not the sun beating down on you.

Start with mineral makeup (or a lightweight powder-based foundation with SPF)

Add a shimmery eyeshadow with a golden undertone

Shimmer; not glitter

Try an inky purple liner; if it smudges it just looks like a light, smoky eye; tres chic

Add a dash of a purply-pink lip gloss (don't even think about trying matte red when it's 90+)
