Pumpkin Power

The weather this week has been rainy and chilly and an overall gloom has set in over the usually bright blue sky. I'm completely obsessed. It's like a taste of home. However, my now-thinned blood has left me in a constant shiver, as I wrote I was curled up in a soft blanket in front of my fireplace. While I warmed up (or made a failed attempt to) I made these pumpkin butterscotch (sans butterscotch, but + toasted marshmallow topping) fudge bars  for a tasty fall treat and a welcomed bite of warmth. Just one bite makes you envision the crisp fall air, the crunch of the leaves under your shoes and for me in particular (and my pumpkin-loving partner in crime & West Coast newbie, Kristin) childhood memories of mischief.
