Comfort Food

Yep, it's burnt. Don't text and cook kids. Lesson learned. 

I've stayed at my apartment for three nights in a row. It's spotless. The fridge is full. I even got my car washed (now that's some sort of a miracle for sure.) I'm at the point where I'm not sure what to do with myself. So I decided to turn to the one routine thing I could think of; cooking my most favorite fall comfort foods. Pan-fried chicken breasts (bone-in for added flavor and with lots of butter!), roasted fall vegetables and hearty, cinnamon-spiced brown rice, all served with a side of figs doused in fig vinegar and pistachios. Is your mouth watering yet? I've got leftovers...
